I have an amazing boyfriend but I am in high school and i have a million other things to do. It is so hard to maintain a long distance relationship and I just cant do it anymore. I see how much it hurts him and I just want us both to be happy. How do I call it off without making him think i have alternative motives?How do you break up with a great guy and still be friends?
Just be honest. Tell him that you are both in high school and you are not ready to have a long distance relationship with someone. Tell him when you booth get out of high school and you can be closer you may consider getting back together with him. (even if it's not true)
