How do you tell your parents you want to wear make up?

Im 13 almost 14.. I wear make up when my friends put it on.. not usually.. 2 or 3 times a year.. I really look good with it but I just dont know how to tell my mom I want make-up.How do you tell your parents you want to wear make up?
I would just let them know that you are getting to the age where you want to start wearing make-up and promise them you won't over do it and leave the house looking like a street-walker! I would start small with a little gloss, eyeshadow and mascara- when you get better at it then start with a little liner (if you want) and some powder (most people don't need foundation in the summer-it melts off sometimes in the heat).

PS asking your mom to help show you (even though you know how) is a good bonding chance! How do you tell your parents you want to wear make up?
im sure your mom wears make up just tell her you want to- go buy some with her or something
Is your mum really that against it that you need to worry??

She shouldn't be, but if she is.... tell her that you'd like to start wearing makeup, and you understand that she isn't happy with it, but that you want to do it so you feel good about yourself. Tell her you'll start with something small.... Like eye shadow or lipgloss and if she isn't happy ask her why and give her reasons why she shouldn't worry....

make sure you dont go in yelling and screaming and you present her good reasons why you want to wear it and everything should be ok
Start with skincare.

Talk seriously to Mom about it. Tell her the truth.

Then add Brown mascara and light lip color. You really don't need makeup yet. Learn how your face is cared for first, and live a healthy clean lifestyle.

You are only young once and don't pile on tons of colors, you will look like a cheap Lolita. That is every parents fear.

Look a natural looks in magazines and try to duplicate them on your face.

You will spend hours putting ON and taking OFF makeup and practicing what looks best on your face. Stick to a classic look. Too much is too much. Less is more...always.
i didnt ask them , they just figured that when i went to middle school it would be an instinct for me to want to wear makeup. oh, dont go crazy with it...i did and i really regret that. anyway, talk to your mom about it, she'll go tell your dad but it'll be easier to let them know instead of trying to sneak it on everyday.
