How to make up with a friend that u like cause she tells u she just wants to be friends?

Well i started to develop feelings for my friend, she kept sending me signals so i waz happy. We talk, i bought things for her ( not excessively) , i help her with her work etc. Things were cool then Valentines day came around i wanted to surprise her with some valentines day gifts even got some of my friends to help ( i waz seriously nervous). In the end when she got it the reaction i got priceless words could not express the happiness i felt. Some of our friends wanted to hang out and on the way her friend left us to talk he before he left told here why would he(ME) give u that( just to help me out a little), She then asked me why i gave her the gifts, well i swallowed my pride and i told her that i liked her. This waz the time she said that she only liked me as a friends my heart plummeted she continued saying that i hope my feeling aren't hurt 2 much.


well i tried to put on a brave face but my sadness still showed. when is was time for us to go home we live in the same area i got us a car and when i got in she stood out of the card and said she waz not going with this car . my sadness grew more. I waited a day later to text her saying i was ok which was pain full but got no reply.


I later realized that she had feelings for someone else, i felt bad cause i didn't consider her feelings. I'm fully prepared to move on but i want to save our friendship cause she avoiding me.

2. How should i move around girls i mean I'm like a nerd i try to be myself but when i do i end up getting hurt this happened many times before and i lost many friends, i don't want to loose this one.
