My best friend and I got into a fight over something stupid a few months ago. We haven't talked in 3 months. The fight was really over nothing important, but we are both stubborn people and that's why we haven't talked since. I am starting to not care about why we were fighting or what was said, and focus on the loss of a friend. I want to contact her via a message on facebook to see how she feels. I don't want to be too nice because she might not be over it yet and might cause problems again. I want it to be simple and to the point. How does this sound?
';Hey. How are you? I know we had our differences in the past, but I wanted to let you know that I have been thinking about you a lot lately. I don't expect a response right away, but I wanted to see if we are on the same page.';
How does this sound in my circumstance? Please be over the age of 18 if you are going to answer. Thanks in advance!In trying to make up with a friend, does this sound good?
Sounds good to me, very sincere and caring. For an admittedly stubborn person, it really sounds quite big of you. Its apologetic without taking or placing blame; its considerate and it will let her know her friendship means alot to you. Someone had to take the first step. I hope she appreciates it.In trying to make up with a friend, does this sound good?
sounds very nice. subtle but not too subtle. SEND IT
';On the same page'; as what? To me, that sounds like 'Have you gotten over it yet? Do you see my side of things? Are you done being stubborn?' That's how I would read it if I were upset and you sent that to me. You don't want to forget the problem, you want to both sit down and rationally come to an understanding. You want to solve the issue, even if that means you agree to disagree.
I would say, ';Have you cleaned your dentures lately? How's your cat? I like prunes and farting.';
My advice for you is to just suck it up %26amp; get it moving along by simply writing, ';Hey girl, I miss you.';
Her response, if any, should bring you right up to speed on whether you two are on the same page. Good luck!
