HELPP!! How can i make up with my best friend.?

just before summer i fell out with my best friend at a sleepover someone had told her i was rude and horrid soo she deicieded to egnore me, and ive said sorry to her and explained everything was a lie but she just wont listen, and i havnt spoken to her in ages, were starting school again soon and i realy want to make friends with her i dont see what ive done rong, the worst thing about it is my twin was best friends with her to and she fell out with her over the same thing but they've made up and all my friends are good friends with this girl and its realy upsetting can anyone please help me.!HELPP!! How can i make up with my best friend.?

have you tried calling her and talking to her? Or talking to her alone?
Before you talk to her. calm yourself first. because if your not calm, you will just have the tendency to talk too much and defending yourself. first, if she agrees to talk to you, you must let her talk first without any interruptions. let her tell you what she feels, what made her upset, what she thinks about you. don't just hear her side. you must listen with your heart. the less you say, the more she can focus on what you're saying. if you think that she was mad because of something you didn't really do, tell her it's not true. that's it! it's up to her if she understands. you don't have to elaborate any more. life is simple we don't have to make it complicated. the more you defend yourself, the more it will complicate things. if your conversation with her can move on without you even saying a single word, it would be better. sometimes, silence can make people think that you have better thoughts in mind.
Talk to the 'gossiper' ask why she just ruined a special friendship let her see you are upset and ask her to tell he bestie that she was lieing
