For info, she's a brunetter with slight freckles. Thanks!HOW should my friend do her make-up on a normal basis?
try a very soft pink blush with soft bronze/gold eyeshadow and a light lipgloss. very subtle yet pretty.HOW should my friend do her make-up on a normal basis?
i agree
I think a small amount of mascara and some light pick blush will do just fine. A very shiny clear lip gloss will definatley look pretty.
if she wants to do everything go for basic black, brown or gray eyeliner lined thin on the eye, light shade of warm or neutral colored eyeshadow that would compliment the eye color, pink/rose/mauve blush, sheer lip color or gloss
COVER GIRL
If you are looking for an everyday look, you should stick to neutrals and pinks (see MAC eyeshadow in ';Nylon'; for a highlighter and ';Shroom'; for the lid. Then to dress it up you can put a brown like ';courdory'; or a gray color in the crease for a smokey look). Also, if you are looking for a little extra, try putting on a little black eyeliner, like Mac ';Engraved';. For pinks, try something like ';Sweet Lust'; for the lid, and then ';Cranberry'; in the crease. You don't want anything to powerful if it's the daytime... As for blush, you really should go see a make up artist (which sounds like something you should do anyways) cause it depends not only only the color eyeshadow, but also your complexion. Anyway, around the start of every season, you can go to MAC and they have all their makeup artists there and they will give you a free makeover (you have to commit to buying some products), but not only will they help you, they will show you how to do it. I have been doing it for years, and I am great at it now (and you will be too)
Good Luck
powder (foundation ONLY if she has an uneven skin tone color)
just a little light pink blush (VERY LITTLE) and rub it in so it looks natural. (bronzer wouldnt bring out the freckles)
then a gray or light brown eyeliner on the bottom eyelid.
then a cream colored eyeshadow with a shimmer in it.
and brown-black mascara.
and a nude lipgloss.
I think freckles are really cute so the tiniest amount of powder if she has an uneven complexion. Apart from that, a very light blusher (dandelion from benefit? slightly more expensive range but amazing!).
I would put the number 1 make-up essential for everyday or going out as MASCARA. If she has light eyelashes it doesn't have to be black - just whatever matches her eyelash colour. It just adds an extra something to your face!!
Then if you want she could also use a bit of eyeliner (I would go black, but use it sparingly) and just make sure lips are moisturised - am not a fan of gloss.
Just a few suggestions!
use a pink blush and dark brown eye liner and black mascara. eye liner and mascara will bring her eye out more. For foundation she has to test it herself. I can't suggest a shade without looking at her complexion. Tell her to test her jawline she wants a color closest to her neck line to she has two same colors or shade of neck and face. Tell her to use blues, pinks, greens, and browns eye shadows.
For the record, she should wear light, casual makeup.
Not too much glamour and sparkles. save those for parties!!
probably some light skin tones would work well
try to go to a make up artist and ask him/her what your friend would look good in. Keep it looking natural. The lips should be a slightesh pink or red. But first, see if your friend needs make up. If she doesn't theres no point in putting any on.
i'm a brunette with freckels on my nose and cheeks. i wear cover up on certain problem areas then nutrogena mineral powder over my face then a brown eyeliner from ulta with covergirls mascra. its simple for everyday use and on special occ. then add some colorful eyeshadow, depending on eye color and a pinkish gloss is cute. its good not to over do the makeup for everyday use because wehn you need to get dressed up then u can add just a bit more and not look fake!
Everyday basis, just use a good moisturizer on the face to make your skin take well to the makeup, a bit of foundation/loose powder, eyeliner on the bottom eyelid and a blush that is lighter than her skin tone but natural.
